recent projects: ascot home
A house with ‘good bones’, this Ascot home needed to be rejuvenated to add a asense of individuality while still functioning effortlessly as a family home.
Design coherence in every area has brought consistency as well as comfort. The existing Spanish-inspired décor was adapted to reflect a more sophisticated Moorish architectural influence through the use of Moroccan rugs, artefacts, imported lanterns and furnishings.
Heavy timber balaustrades were replaced with glass, immediately lightening the ambience.
Making the gourmet kitchen part of the living environment connected it with the life of the house, while increasing the height of the bar successfully hid kitchen clutter.
In the rooms that enfold the atrium, organic colours and textures work in harmony with the redesigned atrium gardens.
