Sunrise at Turtle Beach in Queensland has been voted the Best Sustainable Development in Australia 2008 by the Urban Development Institute of Australia. This award is in addition to being awarded the Best Sustainable Development in Queensland in 2007. Awaken Designs, as the principal designer of the sunrise development, was instrumental in the planning, creation and implementation on the ground of the key design concepts.
